Manasi Agarwal, London

Manasi was once a graphic designer who gravitated to the interaction design realm, alongside a world that was taking leaps forward, fueled by technology. From obsessing over registration marks before printing a graphic design project to reading Manovich’s views on the convergence of computing and media technologies, and then attending sprint planning meetings in a technology behemoth, she has traveled a long way to her current position as Interaction Designer at Google. According to her, being an interaction designer translates into caring about the world in general and the people in it, in particular. She believes that whatever artifacts (digital, tangible, or otherwise) we seek to create must reflect our continuously evolving sensibilities and be rooted in an intent to impact lives positively. Manasi’s passion for reading, traveling, and seeking interesting conversations is born out of a curiosity that every designer must nurture.
